2004 National Youth Leadership Network Summit

LEARNING, LIVING, LEADING: YOUTH WITH DISABILITIES CONTINUING THE LEGACY

The 2004 National Youth Leadership Conference will be held July 24 – 27, 2004, in Washington, DC. Participants will have exciting opportunities to learn from national disability leaders, public officials, and other young leaders with disabilities from all over the country.

Conference goals are to help prepare the next generation of disability leaders, and to identify ways to improve policies and supports for young people with disabilities.

  • DISCOVER how government works and ways to advance leadership in your local community.
  • LEARN leadership and career development skills.
  • SHARE IDEAS for improving the lives of young people with disabilities.
  • NETWORK with past and future disability leaders and make contacts that will spark new ideas and inspire you to work toward your dreams.

The Conference is led by the Governing Board of the National Youth Leadership Network (NYLN). The National Youth Leadership Network is a youth-driven, youth-led organization comprised of young adult leaders with disabilities. The NYLN strives to promote leadership development and education ensuring that all youth with disabilities have the opportunity to attain their maximum, unique, and personal potential.
