General Information
DOJ Technical Assistance Letters for Housing
The ADA authorizes the Department of Justice to provide technical assistance to entities that are subject to the Act. This technical assistance is sometimes provided in the form of a "technical assistance letter" in response to written inquiries from various constituents. These letters provide informal guidance to assist people in understanding how the ADA may apply to a specific situation. However, this assistance does not constitute a determination by the Department of Justice of rights or responsibilities under the ADA and does not constitute a binding determination by the Department of Justice.
