Join Exploring Spasticity (For Clinicians)

UCP and Medtronic have joined with the nine other organizations represented below to announce the start of the fourth annual Exploring Spasticity program. Exploring Spasticity is a national education program that aims to raise awareness for spasticity through creative expression. The program web site provides general information about spasticity, treatment options, as well as further resources.

This year's theme, Breakthrough Moments, focuses on instances that have changed spasticity patients' lives for the better. Who has inspired them? What have they achieved? Are there obstacles they've overcome? From now until September 15, 2006, we're encouraging individuals affected by spasticity to submit written or artistic entries that address these questions. From the entries we receive, 12 finalists will be featured in the 2007 Exploring Spasticity calendar and will each receive a $250 gift check.

We're inviting you to help us reach out to patients, their families, and caregivers with this program. We'd like to send you a tablet of entry forms to share with your patients.

Later this year, you'll have an opportunity to order complimentary copies of the resulting 2007 Exploring Spasticity calendar. It's our hope that individuals affected by spasticity will draw strength and encouragement from the accomplishments shared in the entries we receive.
