Resource on Financial Aid for Students with Disabilities

Creating Options: A Resource on Financial Aid for Students with Disabilities (2007 edition), a popular guide, has been thoroughly revised and is ready for distribution. Published yearly by HEATH, this new edition provides an overview of student financial aid and discusses the roles and responsibilities of those who play a significant part in the process of providing aid to students with disabilities. The paper also addresses the financial aid application procedure and suggests timelines and resources for those individuals who are seeking financial aid. A listing of nationally awarded grants and a pre-college checklist to organize the search for funds complete the guide. You may also wish to request a copy of Vocational Rehabilitation Services--A Postsecondary Student Consumer's Guide.

Single copies of the papers are free-of-charge by visiting the HEATH website or via email: AskHEATH@gwu.edu; telephone 800-544-3284 (V/TTY); or fax 202 -994 -3365.
