    For research in the humanities and social sciences. Must have ABD status by June. Selection is based on merit of proposed research and candidate's qualifications for carrying out proposal. This is also a scholarship for disabled students and mature women students. Period: 12 months. Amount: Approximately $12,500. Supplementary grant of $1,000 may be requested for dissertation-related expenses. Request application by December 15 (annually).
