    The Canadian Association of Independent Living Centres (CAILC) is a national umbrella organization which consists of local autonomous Independent Living Resource Centres (ILRCs). Each ILRC is community-based and controlled by and for persons with disabilities. CAILC is controlled by the individual ILRCs and its responsibilities mainly consist of providing support, training, networking with government and non-government organizations, and information dissemination.
