Koyemsi Designs is a unique vocational program provided by Alpine Resource, Inc. The program is located on the Hopi and Navajo Reservations in Northern Arizona. Koyemsi Designs is an artistic outlet program for Native Americans with developmental disabilities. The program's emphasis is on the unique talents that the artists possess. One of the program's goals is to facilitate self sufficiency for the artists. The creations are Native American designs that help the artists develop their cultural heritage. Self-esteem and pride in one's accomplishment is gained through expanding upon the known and discovered talents of their native culture.
