    National Council on Indpendent Living (NCIL) is a national membership association of local nonprofit corportations known as Centers for Indpedendent Living (CIL). NCIL is the only cross-disability grassroots national organization run by and for people with disabilities. NCIL provides technical assistance, training and leadership to independent living (IL) centers in many areas of concern to the disability community, including IL philosophy, center operations, and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) through the NCIL/ILRU IL Network Project and ADA Training Project. NCIL also provides information and referral services.
