Funding Available to Morris County Residents for Home Modifications
and Assistive Technology
United Cerebral Palsy of Northern, Central, and Southern New Jersey, Inc. is
happy to announce that the agency has been awarded $5,000 by the Children's
Home Foundation, a charitable trust administered by the United Way of Morris
County. Funding received for the Children's Home Foundation will be utilized
to support the continuation of the Morris County Children's Home Accessibility
Services. This program provides financial assistance to financially needy families
of children with disabilities in Morris County for assistive devices, equipment,
home modifications or vehicle repair. The intent of this service is to provide
assistance to those families who have exhausted all other possible sources of
funding and/or assistance.
Eligibility
Children with disabilities who are served by this service must be under the
age of 21, reside in Morris County and be part of a family unit with an annual
income that falls within the following guidelines. The guidelines are taken
from the New Jersey Cares 2007 Poverty-Related Income Standards.

Families are required to provide proof of income, additional documentation
of financial hardship and a detailed description of the needs, including project
equipment with specific detail on how funds would allow a more independent life
for the child and/or reduce the family financial burden. The award of funds
is based on financial need, necessity for increased accessibility and funding
availability.
