Lenox Baker Special Assistance Fund
As an outreach service to residents of North and South Carolina, UCP maintains a small fund to provide one-time financial help to individuals with disabilities and their families. Because resources are limited, applications must be submitted for committee review. Applicants must demonstrate that all other sources of funding have been denied.

Very often funds are requested to help with the cost of equipment purchases. Other areas of need frequently mentioned include physician-prescribed medication and medical treatment co-payments.

UCP does not fund very expensive items such as vans and the cost of van lift installation, nor are daily living expenses considered for payment.
