UCP Services

UCP offers a wide range of services across the country. Browse the links below to find out more about programs in your community.


Early Intervention & Preschool Services

Rural Infant Stimulation Education (RISE)
For the past fourteen years, RISE and UCPWA have worked together to provide services to children with disabilities in Tuscaloosa County and West Alabama.

UCPWA provides funds through a contract agreement with RISE to provide services which include physical, occupational, and speech therapies and paraprofessional aides.

Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind (AIDB)
AIDB and UCPWA collaborate to provide early intervention and preschool services to individuals in West Alabama. UCPWA provides funds to place paraprofessional aides and AIDB provides funds for teachers and supplies. Counties served through AIDB include Bibb, Choctaw, Greene, Hale, Marengo, Pickens, Perry, Sumter and Tuscaloosa.

Fayette County EI-Preschool
UCPWA provides paraprofessional aides for the early intervention and preschool program in Fayette County in cooperation with the Fayette County school system.

Community Services Programs of West Alabama (CSP)
UCPWA collaborates with CSP, early intervention division, to provide physical, occupational and speech therapy as well as other early intervention services to individuals in West Alabama.

Alabama Children’s Dept. of Rehabilitation Services (CRS)
UCPWA is the fiscal agent for CRS (Children’s Rehab Services) District Coordinating Council which provides training and early intervention services to families in West Alabama.

Tri-County Early Intervention
UCPWA is the fiscal agent for Tri-County EI which provides early intervention services to families in Fayette, Lamar, Marion, Winston and Walker Counties.
