Save Mart CARES Sensory Integration Clinic
The Save Mart CARES Children’s Sensory Integration Clinic opened it doors in Stockton this past year. The clinic is one of the first of its kind in San Joaquin County and the surrounding region.

The clinic is designed to serve children up to twelve years of age who have difficulty processing sensory information from their environment to such a degree that it interferes with their daily routines.

Sensory integration dysfunction can be a considered disorder on its own or it can be a characteristic of other neurological conditions such as autism, dyslexia, and some speech delays. Disorders in sensory integration (SI) or sensory processing are neurological disorders causing the inability of the brain to process information from the five commonly known senses, but primarily from the sense of touch (tactile), in addition to the sense of movement (vestibular) and the sense of where the body is in space (proprioception).

The clinic, a 1,200-square foot site, is located in Stockton adjacent to the main UCP business office on Benjamin Holt Drive. Come visit us today!
