Client Assistance Program

The Client Assistance Program (CAP) is a federally funded program that exists in all fifty states. In Delaware, UCP is the Designated Agency for the CAP program. CAP is a disability rights program for adults with disabilities who are served by their state Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and other rehabilitation programs. The CAP program assists people through the complicated process of rehabilitation so that people with disabilities can become employed.

CAP is a place to turn to with questions or problems about rehabilitation programs. They assist individuals who are having difficulties with their vocational rehabilitation. This includes information, referrals, advocating, negotiation, and assistance with agency appeals processes.

CAP promotes self-advocacy by determining an individual’s capabilities and giving them guidance.

For more information about Client Assistance Program, please contact UCP at (302) 764-2400 or send an e-mail.
