This profession deals with the normal and abnormal processes of speech, language, and communication. Speech-Language Pathology services at UCP involves assessment of consumers skills, development of goals and objectives for active treatment programs. There is ongoing observations of the consumers and consultations with staff regarding consumers' progress, skills and needs in the areas of speech-language and functional communication. The goal of speech therapy services at UCP is to help the consumers develop functional communication skills.
