Housing Arrangements

UCP of Northern Nevada has purchased several homes in order to promote diverse living opportunities to the people we serve. We currently have five group supported living arrangement (SLA) homes and maintain 24 other supported living situations. UCPNN’s group SLA’s are 24 hour supervised placements which consist of two to four individuals who share either an apartment or a house in the community. Each person in the group SLA environment has an individualized service agreement that effects his or her own treatment, training, and financial needs.

The group SLA is an atmosphere designed with the purpose of assisting individuals in developing greater independence, community inclusion, and the use of natural supports. The program’s goal is for each person to develop the skills necessary to eventually move on to a more independent and less restrictive environment.
