But programs like UCP’s Adaptive Arts Program allow us to express our feelings, and continue to grow mentally and spiritually. It opens up our world to new experiences, and enables us to feel proud of our accomplishments.

With so many limitations in our lives, these programs are vitally important to our well-being. They have a positive impact on our mental health and self-esteem. They allow us to contribute and be a part of the world, not apart from the world.

So, thank you for giving me, and many others, the opportunity to make the most of our lives.

Being able to produce such beautiful art and seeing the smiles on people’s faces when they look at my work, and tell me how I inspire them—that is my proudest accomplishment!
