United Cerebral Palsy Honors Republican Senator

United Cerebral Palsy honored Senator Susan Collins (R-Maine) September 1, at an event sponsored by 17 national disability organizations in New York. UCP Trustee Anne Rader presented the award and spoke on behalf of the national organization.

Since joining the Senate in 1996, Senator Collins has been a tireless advocate for children with disabilities. She played a key committee role in passing the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.

UCP is proud to acknowledge Senator Collins' continued commitment to all Americans with disabilities. UCP sponsored a similar event at the Democratic National Convention last month.
