Requirements
A minimum of Bachelor Degree from an accredited college or university in the field of Social Work, Psychology, Education, Human Services, Rehabilitation Counseling or related field.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Experience in working with SSDI and SSI beneficiaries, including people with a wide range of mental and physical impairments
• Track record of being able to engage a diverse clientele in services
• Expertise in conducting intake assessment for people with disabilities
• Ability to do basic arithmetic computations to calculate benefits and work incentives
• Experience using person-centered and self-directed approaches; understanding of the principles of consumer empowerment and control
• Knowledge of local labor markets, employment services, and employment-related service delivery systems for people with disabilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide work incentives counseling services to support employment for Work Incentive Planning Assistance (WIPA) participants
• Enter complete and accurate data into the Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) data system
• Understand the WIPA project, SSA disability benefits, other federal and state benefits and associated work incentives
• Prepare a Benefits Summary and Analysis (BS&A) Report for WIPA participants
• Provide health insurance planning and counseling
• Collaborate with and refer WIPA participants to employment partners to address employment issues
COMPENSATION: $28-$32k-Includes benefit package (health, dental, life, 403b, paid holidays and paid time off available.
