Motorcycle Club Rides for UCP of Greater Suffolk

Hauppauge, NY, May 16, 2004 - Two hundred and fifty bikers from the Island Motorcycle Club of Long Island rode to raise several thousand dollars for UCP of Greater Suffolk and Cooleys Anemia. The club also collected gifts for injured U.S. military personnel at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC.

The bikers rode from Huntington to Riverhead, then on to the RAMP Motorcycle Dealership in St. James. They celebrated with a barbeque, live music, and a raffle.

A first-time development event for UCP of Greater Suffolk, the Island Motorcycle Club first developed a relationship with UCP last year when the club donated a cooking station for the UCP of Greater Suffolk Children's Center. Development director Susan Eckert hopes to make the ride an annual event.
