DC Healthcare Attorney Bruce Fried Elected to United Cerebral Palsy Board of Trustees (07/15/2005)

Washington, DC, July 15, 2005 - United Cerebral Palsy (UCP), a leader in national disability issues, has announced the election of Washington, DC, attorney Bruce Fried to its Board of Trustees. Mr. Fried has more than 25 years experience in healthcare law and policy.

Currently a partner in the Health Care Group at Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP, Mr. Fried counsels and represents health plans and insurers, physician organizations, hospital groups, health care information technology and data companies, pharmaceutical and biotech companies and other health care organizations with regard to Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA and other federal health care programs and policies.

Mr. Fried previously worked at the Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) as the director of the center for health plans and providers and director of the office of managed care. He holds both a J.D. degree and a B.A. degree from the University of Florida.
