Jennifer Maust Becomes UCP Hagerstown Center Director
Hagerstown, Md.—Jennifer C. Maust, an experienced administrator, seasoned public relations strategist and prolific public speaker, has become the center director for UCP of Central Maryland in Hagerstown, Md. In this position, Maust is responsible for serving and creating opportunities for individuals with disabilities and overseeing the center’s College for Living program, an initiative she co-created.
Maust joined UCP of Central Maryland in 2005 as the Western Region employment services director. Prior to UCP, she served as Western Maryland representative for U.S. Sen. Barbara A. Mikulski, D-Md., and as Western Maryland staff representative for former Maryland Lt. Gov. Kathleen Kennedy Townsend.
Also active in the community, Maust volunteers with the Hagerstown City Police Department Victim Assistance Unit, serving violent crime victims. She participates as a member of the Hagerstown-Washington County Chamber of Commerce as well.
Maust received her undergraduate degree in human service management at the University of Phoenix, where she continues to pursue a master’s in business administration.
Maust resides in Smithsburg, Md., with her husband Christopher, and has three children, Alexandra, Olivia and Gabriel.
UCP of Central Maryland is a nonprofit organization promoting the independence, productivity and full citizenship of children and adults with cerebral palsy and other disabilities. Founded in 1953 and headquartered in Baltimore County, the agency serves people in Baltimore City and 18 counties in Maryland, providing special education and therapeutic services for children, residential services and in-home support, day programs, respite care, and assistive technology.
