Three Join UCP of Central Maryland Board
Pikesville, Md.—UCP of Central Maryland, which serves developmentally disabled individuals throughout the state, recently appointed three new members to its board of directors. Those new directors are Jonathan Clark, COO and managing partner of Harris Print Group in Baltimore; Leah Miller, marketing communications coordinator for the Kennedy Krieger Institute; and Ilene Salcman, executive vice president of The Warner Companies in Timonium, Md.
Prior to Harris Point Group, Jonathan Clark spent 12 years in the financial industry with Alex Brown, T. Rowe Price and Legg Mason. Most recently, he served as a vice president and regional retirement director for Citigroup/Smith Barney. He lives in the Guilford neighborhood in Baltimore with his wife, Ali; son, Oliver; and daughter, Sutton, a student at UCP’s Delrey School.
Leah Miller became an employee of Kennedy Krieger in 1999 working in the LEAP program, a self-contained educational program for children with autism and related disorders. She’s been working there for seven years. She lives in Hunt Valley, Md.
Ilene Salcman joined The Warner Companies in 1999. Prior to that, she worked in health care management for more than 20 years. In addition to her professional achievements, Salcman was a member of the Maryland Association of Health Care Executives and served on the boards of Combined Health Appeal, Coordinated Services for the Elderly and the Baltimore Center for Domestic Violence and Rape. She lives in the Roland Park neighborhood in Baltimore.
UCP of Central Maryland is a nonprofit organization promoting the independence, productivity and full citizenship of children and adults with cerebral palsy and other disabilities. Founded in 1953 and headquartered in Baltimore County, the agency serves people in Baltimore City and 18 counties in Maryland, providing special education and therapeutic services for children, as well as residential services and in-home support, day programs, respite care, and assistive technology.
