In the 1960s, UCP maintained its position as one of the nation's top disability organizations. To keep affiliates informed about events and public policy, UCP produced newsletters, created informational materials with sponsors and held an annual conference where affiliates could exchange ideas. The United Cerebral Palsy Women's Committees advocated for programs and services for individual with cerebral palsy and other disabilities and raised funds on the local, state and national levels by organizing special events.
