Project SUCCESS
Initially funded by a grant from Learn and Serve America and the Corporation for National Service, in 1997 UCP launched Project SUCCESS, a service-learning program for youth with and without disabilities. This three-year demonstration project offered young people the opportunity to contribute to their own communities while learning the value of inclusion and volunteerism. The project engaged youth in an integrated service-learning curriculum that addresses team-building, diversity, attitude awareness, personal responsibility, civic leadership and community service.
