And the SAGE Award goes to...
Senator Patricia H. Vance and UCP volunteer Richard Radcliff were honored at the SAGE Awards on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at Messiah Village.
Messiah Village in partnership with Harrisburg Magazine honored the region's outstanding older adults at their
5th Annual SAGE Award program. The winners represent the
Savy, Active, Growing, Enlightened members of the 55+ crowd.
UCP nominated Dick Radcliff because several thousand of his volunteer hours over the past 15 years have been logged on behalf of UCP Central PA. He currently works alongside our staff maintenance coordinator an average of five hours a week (or 250+ a year), assisting with various maintenance, construction, or moving tasks. He also volunteers to help out with special events as needed. He and his wife are also regulars at the UCP Holiday Gift Wrap booth each year.
Dick has said that the more work he does in the community, the more need he sees. Fortunately, no task is too big or too small for him to undertake.
