Survey Acknowledges UCP's Hard Work
MOBILE - United Cerebral Palsy of Mobile announced today that, as a result of an extensive administrative and program survey conducted by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), the agency has earned a three-year accreditation for services offered in Central and South Alabama.
UCP accredited services include Early Intervention, Preschool, Respite, and Employment.
Carol Sherer, CARF Administrative Surveyor for the May 19th-21st evaluation said that UCP had an "incredibly clean first survey." In all, UCP was reviewed on over 600 standards, and fewer than 12 received recommendations for improvement.
"This has been a dream of ours' for years, and CARF's decision validates the quality services we have strived to provide over the years to people with disabilities and their families," remarks UCP Vice President & COO, Susan Watson. "It is exciting to have been issued accreditation through May 2011."
United Cerebral Palsy of Mobile joins more than 5,000 service agencies in the United States, Canada, Western Europe, and South America that field expertise in aging services, child and family services, behavioral health, DMEPOS, employment and community services, and medical rehabilitation.
