UCP of East Central Florida seeks AmeriCorp VISTA* Members
This is a National Service Position with a one-year commitment. Duties include providing workshops, researching, analyzing, and preparing recommendations, recruiting and training volunteers, and developing opportunities and partnerships with businesses.
Qualified candidates will be self-starting, motivated, share the social justice values of UCP, and the desire to improve the economic and social standing of individuals with disabilities. Writing, oral communication, computer, and presentation skills are needed, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Bilingual (Creole, Spanish, English) abilities is a plus as is relevant experience. Benefits include monthly living allowance, health coverage, personal and sick leave time, holiday pay, childcare if eligible, and a $4,725 education award OR a $1,200 stipend following completion of service.
