United Cerebral Palsy of Georgia Named Charitable Beneficiary
ATLANTA – July 8, 2009 – United Cerebral Palsy of Georgia has been selected as the 2009 beneficiary of the Collegiate Players Tour when it rolls into Pinetree Country Club in Kennesaw, Ga., July 27 – 29. This marks the first year that UCP of Georgia will benefit from this event.
The host and national sponsor, State Farm®, will pit some associates against several of the best collegiate players in the United States for the charitable event on Monday, July 27, including Southern Methodist University’s Aaron Stewart, son of the late golfer Payne Stewart.
“UCP of Georgia is delighted and honored to have been selected as beneficiary of this great event,” noted Diane Wilush, UCP of Georgia’s Executive Director. “As a provider of services to over 600 people with developmental disabilities, including cerebral palsy and autism, throughout the state of Georgia, this money will be well-utilized for our programs and services. This news couldn’t come at a better time since donations have dropped in these difficult, economic times.”
The charity event tee off is set for 11:30 am on Monday, July 27, at Pinetree Country Club. The course is located at 3400 McCollum Pkwy NW, Kennesaw, Ga. Collegiate competition begins Tuesday, July 27th. PLEASE Join Us To Make A Difference. The event is free for viewing and open to the public. We encourage the public to come out to this wonderful event and support UCP by making a donation.
