United Cerebral Palsy of Georgia Presents D.J. Gregory Book

What’s your handicap? D.J. Gregory, a weekend golfer who has cerebral palsy, would say, “None.”

D.J. Gregory's journey began with challenges. Born with cerebral palsy, underdeveloped lungs and his legs entangled, Gregory’s family was told that he would never walk. However, in 2008 he walked 3,256 holes on the PGA Tour, an adventure that covered 1,000 miles. He balanced himself on both a cane and the goodwill of the PGA Tour professionals he shadowed on the golf course. Although D.J fell 29 times he picked himself up off the ground and walked on. DJ Gregory’s inspirational journey is well documented in his new book, Walking with Friend’s: An Inspirational Year on the PGA Tour.

On July 14th, United Cerebral Palsy of Georgia along with Acapella Books hosted a book signing for D.J Gregory, as well as a reading of Walking With Friends at the Central Branch of the Atlanta-Fulton Library. United Cerebral Palsy of Georgia received a portion of the proceeds from the book sales that evening. UCP of Georgia would like to thank all those who came out and supported DJ, his book and UCP of Georgia!

Walking with Friends: An Inspirational Year on the PGA Tour by D. J. Gregory, Steve Eubanks. Simon & Schuster Adult Publishing Group. 208 pages.
