Assist individuals served with learning their job and providing job maintenance.

JOB GRADE: Hourly

HOURS OF WORK: Determined by Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Driver’s license/reliable transportation, willingness to work flexible schedule, High School Diploma or GED, CPR First Aid certifications (training provided), Good organizational and writing skills. Must be able to complete training course to become DSP certified and work as needed in the Vocational and Adult Services Programs. Must be at least 18 years of age.

REPORTS TO: Vocational Case Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION:

1. Coach persons with disabilities in various employment settings and assist them in acquiring skills needed to maintain their job.
2. Train individual on job orientation skills at the job site.
3. Help individuals served meet people and develop supports within the workplace.
4. Assist the individual in achieving increased independence.
5. Complete required documentation on an on-going basis (goal sheets, chron notes, time intervention, etc.).
6. Provide support and empathy while monitoring work tasks and behaviors.
7. Communicate with individual in constructive ways and provide effective feedback.
8. Keep communication lines open with individuals served employer and address his or her concerns quickly and effectively.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
