Decatur – Administrative Assistant/Events Coordinator :
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of high school diploma. Knowledge and skills of office duties, proficient computer skills for Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Print Shop. Must be able to type 45 words per minute. Ability to professionally interact with the public.
REPORTS TO: Decatur Director
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION: To answer a multi-line phone system and greet guests. To assist with Development clerical duties. Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Effective communication skills.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Present a positive image of UCP when greeting visitors and answering telephones by being respectful and courteous to all persons doing business with the agency.
- Complete office responsibilities, such as maintaining database, network system, donor base, inventory, typing, filing, mail, copying of materials, etc., as requested and needed.
- Assist in the operation and maintenance of office equipment, including computer, copy machine, postage machine, postage scale, printers, and phone system terminal. Provide assistance as needed to staff on computer programs.
- Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate staff. Take messages when necessary.
- Enter cash receipts and bank receipts on a daily basis. Enter monthly deposit logs and bi-weekly timesheets.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of a variety of fund raising special events in the Land of Lincoln service area such as: Telethon, Life without Limits, Golf outing, Barstool
- Leadership of the Canister campaign on a monthly basis.
- Coordinate the United Fund Drive Campaign.
- Other duties as assigned.
