UCP Participant Voted VP of Advocacy Group
People First is comprised of individuals with disabilities who help to raise awareness of individuals with disabilities, teach self advocacy skills, and promote self determination. The group is currently working with Service Coordination to plan a Self Determination Conference scheduled for May 2009 to be held at Allegany College of Maryland. The members conduct fundraising projects throughout the year to help pay for events such as dances, picnics, etc.
