UCP of Central Maryland Expands Cumberland Facility, Services
Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony, Open House to Commemorate Center’s Opening
WHAT
A ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house will mark the opening of UCP of Central Maryland's new, expanded medical adult day care center in Cumberland, designed for residents of Allegany and Garrett Counties with cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities.
One-quarter of the center’s space features a state-of-the-art sensory integration room, developed for UCP’s most disabled individuals. The room includes controlled lighting, cushioned rockers and other specialty tools to help with therapy sessions. The center also offers more opportunities for one-on-one therapy compared to the old facility.
