Ravens Roost 55 Donates Laptop to Delrey School Student
Catonsville, Md.—Ravens Roost 55 of Catonsville, Md., recently donated a laptop computer to 8-year-old Zachary George, a graduate of the Delrey School, providing a child with cerebral palsy and spastic quadriplegia with the tools to successfully mainstream into the public school system and thrive in a technology-driven society.
“Zachary is a very smart boy, and this laptop that he will use at his new school will provide a foundation for his transition to less structured school environment,” said Mimi Wang, principal of Delrey School.
Zachary attended the Delrey School for nearly five years and will transfer later this year to Landsdowne Elementary School. He lives with his mother in Landsdowne, Md.
For more than 35 years, UCP's Delrey School has provided educational and therapeutic programs for children with cerebral palsy and other disorders. The school provides intense physical, occupational and speech therapies; early intervention; developmental services; and a day care program for siblings of Delrey students and children of UCP staff members.
Founded in 2001 Ravens Roost #55 is a Baltimore Ravens fan club with added dedication to charitable work in Catonsville. Its philosophy is to support the Baltimore Ravens while contributing to and enhancing the quality of life in the local community.
