UCP of Central Maryland Named Bonomo Interim President and CEO

Owings Mills, Md.—Thomas D. Bonomo, CPA, has been named interim president and CEO of United Cerebral Palsy of Central Maryland. In this position, he will be responsible for leading all operations of the Maryland chapter of UCP, a nonprofit organization serving children and adults with cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities.

Bonomo brings a wide range of experience to his new position. No stranger to UCP, he served as the chapter’s CFO for the last six years. During the past four years, Bonomo also assisted the UCP’s national office as a consultant to the financial director and served as the national organization’s CFO.

Before UCP, Bonomo spent 10 years in the health care field in Maryland as a controller for Helix and LifeBridge health systems. Outside of health care, he served as senior accountant for The Equitable Bank and spent 10 years working in manufacturing as a plant accountant for M & T Chemicals and Universal Foods.

Bonomo received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Baltimore in 1980. He is a member of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants and of the Healthcare Finance Management Association.

Bonomo resides with his family in Harford County.

Founded in 1953 and headquartered in Baltimore County, the agency serves people in Baltimore City and 18 counties in Maryland, providing special education and therapeutic services for children, as well as residential services and in-home support, day programs, respite care, and assistive technology.
