QuickRamps for Kids
We are proud to announce that we have received a $13,361 Quality of Life Grant from the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation (CDRF). The award was one of nearly 100 grants totaling approximatley $900,000 awarded by the CDRF to non profit organiztions across the country that help people living with disabilities become more fully intergrated members of society.
The grant will allow UCP/Detoit to continue providing, portable ramps to children who use wheelchairs. In addition UCP/Detroit developed this pilot project into a permanent agency program.
In order to be eligible for the QuickRamp project the child must reside in Wayne, Oakland or Macomb Counties and have Cerebral Palsy or a paralysis causing condition. To access the application click here.
All ramps provided are portable in nature; length and features will depend on needs identified by the family.
