Meet the Staff
Malena McGhee
Malena brings a wealth of knowledge in human services to UCP of Metro Detroit. As a member of the employment team, she works with the Social Security Administration funded Work Incentive Planning and Assistance (WIPA) and the Oakland County Community Mental Health Authority funded Benefit Planning Assistance Training and Technical Assistance Program.
Malena acquired her Bachelors of Arts in 2001 at University of Detroit Mercy and is currently working on a M.A. Degree at Madonna University. In her spare time she enjoys volunteering with several community service organizations such as Cots, in Detroit, which she helps feed people who are homeless. She is also a professional performer for the hearing impaired community where her talent is signing to music. She is very involved with her church’s ministry and serves as a mentor to the youth and young adult population within the church she attends.
