MATLN Coordinator elected a Fellow

It gives UCP of MN great pleasure in announcing that Maxine Slobaf, Coordinator of the MATLN lending library, has been elected a Fellow of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Fellowship is one of the highest forms of recognition given by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) of an individual's accomplishments, and is public declaration of her outstanding professional developments. Maxine's career accomplishments are most worthy indeed and the distinction of becoming an ASHA fellow is well deserved by her.

Maxine is a leader in the field of augmentative communication. She is knowledgeable about a wide variety of communication devices and works tirelessly to make sure that individuals with communication challenges receive the most appropriate device to meet their communication needs. In addition to coordinating the MATLN program at UCP of Minnesota, Maxine is a Speech Language Pathologist at Hennepin County Medical Center.

The board and staff at UCP of Minnesota extend congratulations to Maxine and express their gratitude for all she does to help individuals with speech and communication disorders.
