Adventures in the Beartooth Mountains
-
The fifth book in “The Gun Lake Adventure Series” has been released! Author Johnnie Tuitel, a UCP Michigan Board member, has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair. As a kid, he noticed the lack of books depicting people with disabilities in a positive light. “The Gun Lake Adventure Series” of children’s mystery books stars “Johnnie Jacobson,” who has cerebral palsy, uses a wheelchair, and “saves the day” together with his friends!
In Adventures in the Bear Tooth Mountains, Johnnie learns how people with disabilities can snow ski...but this isn’t the only discovery he and his friends make. An abandoned shack near a deserted ghost town, a snowmobile chase and a blizzard test the kids’ courage and survival skills.
Help support UCP Michigan by purchasing any of the five books through us for $7 each by calling (800) 828-2714.
