MCIL provides subsidized personal assistance services with consumers managing their own personal assistants. The name is now the "Personal Assistant Services Program" to reflect the Independent Living approach and minimize the medical-model bias suggested by the word "care." The people who do the work are now "Personal Service Assistants" instead of "Personal Care Attendants". Contact: Carol Streasick at 651-603-2013
