Operation In-As Much and UCPSC teamed up together on May 2nd with several area Lutheran Churches to target UCP of South Carolina homes for their Operation In-As-Much mission.

Operation In-As-Much was a one-day community service blitz that involves more than 150 volunteers on multiple projects in the area. There were four teams of ten volunteers who built two wheelchair ramps, a huge wooden patio deck, painted inside walls of four homes, planted flowers, and tackled other projects in the homes.

UCP of South Carolina is so grateful for the kindness of wonderful community groups such as the great folks involved in the Operation In-As-Much service mission!

The event included a full day of golf with a cart on a championship 18-hole golf course, breakfast, lunch, dinner, prizes, silent auction, and much more!

Thanks to our generous sponsor, Gary Pagliaro of Socastee Station. Gary started this tournament in 2007 in memory of his wife Tri Pagliaro and chose Tri's two favorite charities (UCP and Down Syndrome) to be the beneficiaries. A big thanks to all of the golf committee members who dedicated much of their time to ensure the success of this event.
In an effort to show their gratitude and appreciation to United Cerebral Palsy of South Carolina, a family wrote a letter of appreciation to the staff and caregivers at UCP of South Carolina.

It is feedback like this from families and individuals we support that highlights the positive impact the programs and services have on enriching the lives of the people we serve. UCP commends all staff members for all of their hard work and dedication to creating Life Without Limits for People With Disabilities.

Dear UCP of South Carolina,
I just wanted you to know how much my family and more importantly my brother love the UCP Life Without Limits" program. Even though our loved ones mental state has changed since his initial enrollment in the program, your caring and professional staff has provided positive input. I must acknowledge the high quality of services and support for the people you serve. Although, there are many challenges, the UCP staff handles these challenges with care and commitment. We sincerely thank UCP for all the support that you have provided to our family.
Although, my husband and I will not be able to attend the UCP Annual Employee Appreciation Ceremony, we have nominated several individuals for the Employee of the Year award. The staffs patience, professionalism, and dedication are remarkable. They have helped me cope with my brothers changes. This is a true indication of staff/consumer match and management attentiveness. Once again, thank you UCP for all that you do. Keep up the excellent work that you do in the community.

Sincerely,
Family (Note: all names removed to honor privacy)
