United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) of East Central Florida is celebrating 40 years of service delivery and advocacy for individuals with disabilities in the communities we serve. In every facet of our organization, UCP of East Central Florida strives to ensure the inclusion of persons with disabilities in every aspect of society from the Web to the Workplace, from the classroom to the community.

Our Mission: "Inspiring people with disabilities to discover their limitless potential"
is the cornerstone of our organization. An essential element to fulfilling our mission is having a clear vision and developing a plan that identifies desired outcomes.

This includes collecting, analyzing and utilizing information gathered from internal and external stakeholders. Through the Strategic Planning process we have engaged our Staff, Individuals we serve, Community Stakeholders such as Funders, Business Leaders, Advocates, and our Board of Directors in a series of group exercises that has enabled us to establish our vision for the future of UCP, both short and long term. These exercises included a SWOT Analysis: Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats; which allowed us to compare ourselves to ourselves and others and answer questions about where we want to be as an organization.

The input from these stakeholder groups has been compiled into a Strategic Plan inclusive of goals and objectives that are measurable and will be tracked, reported on and reviewed regularly. This Strategic Plan will become our Roadmap that will guide the organization to on-going success.

2010 ORGANIZATIONAL STRATEGIC GOALS

LEADERSHIP & MANAGEMENT
Enhance organizational leadership and management by establishing and implementing standards of performance and evaluation systems which assures accountability and performance improvement.

BUSINESS OPERATIONS
Strengthen fiscal, program and human resources to build organizational capacity and ensure sustainability in order to address current and future needs.

MARKETING
Establish and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy that includes a clear brand identification message for both internal and external stakeholders.

COMMUNICATIONS
Create a communication system and culture that is open, effective and efficient that meets the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
