Community Outreach
Advocacy
We strive to support and assist individuals with disabilities and their families in achieving full inclusion in community life.
Information and Referral
We work to connect and help those in need to locate and access resources closest to their geographical location. We offer a toll free number for calling convenience.
Public Education
We improve public awareness about cerebral palsy and other developmental disabilities through ongoing advocacy and education activities. Per your request the Community Outreach Program provides workshops, presentations, and discussions about issues surrounding cerebral palsy and other developmental disabilities. Some topics include, but are not limited to: resource sharing regarding treatments; therapy; and steps to achieve inclusive childcare.
Consultations
We offer individualized consultations to ensure that families caring for children with special needs have opportunities for their child to grow, learn, and develop with their peers. Topics may include, but are not limited to: inclusion in community environments; behavioral challenges; and communication issues. Consultations are designed to meet individual need and comfort level and can be conducted either on the phone or in person.
