Project SUCCESS

Project SUCCESS is an integrated service-learning program in which adolescents with and without disabilities use community service projects to apply academic lessons to the world beyond the classroom. Designed for middle and high school-aged youths, the project can be implemented in both school and community settings.

Project SUCCESS offers young people of all abilities the opportunity to become active and empowered members of their community while helping them to cultivate lasting friendships with their peers. The program teams small groups of teenagers as "partners in service." This team approach helps participants learn to adapt to a variety of differences as they work together, as equals, to research, plan, and execute local community service projects.

Interactive meetings are designed to accommodate teens of all learning styles and interest levels. These meetings are held monthly to plan and reflect on service projects, as well as to celebrate friendships and accomplishments.
