3 R’s: Rest, Relax, and Rejuvenate
Finding an affordable and qualified caregiver for a person with a disability is not easy, but it is even more difficult in rural communities. Therefore, UCP of Mobile developed the 3R’s program. This service allows families to choose and train their own caregiver.
When a parent who is registered in the program needs a respite, they simply call UCP to find out if funds are available. If they are available, UCP of Mobile will pay the caregiver a predetermined fee for a set number of hours.
In addition to standard Respite application, participants are also required to provide a list of caregivers and their qualifications.
