Respitality
Often times, the expenses associated with having a child with a disability make taking a vacation financially impossible. Respitality, which offers free overnight accommodations to UCP consumers and their families, is a partnership between the hotel industry and UCP of Mobile.
Adults with disabilities can use this service to spend a night away from home. It can also be used in conjunction with Respite or 3 R’s, to provide parents with a little time to themselves while a qualified adult is caring for their children. Families of people with disabilities have even used respitality as a mini-vacation.
This service is only available to current and former consumers of UCP of Mobile and their immediate family. Participating hotels include The Admiral Semmes Hotel, Homewood Suites, and Lafayette Plaza.
