Youth Employment Services (YES) Program
The YES Program assists students with specific learning disabilities by combining classroom instruction with work experience to create a positive transition from school to work.
Do you want to work?
- You will meet with your Employment Consultant to talk about your skills, interests, transportation, education and the job you would like to have.
- A work assessment will be prepared to help you find your strengths and interests related to work.
- You will participate in Employability Skills Training to help you learn interview skills, how to fill out an application and how to write a resume.
- You will participate in volunteer work experiences at several different community sites like retail, food services and more. A job coach will be there to help you learn good work skills and help with transportation training.
- Skills you will learn: How to do a job search, fill out an application, go to interviews and prepare to work when hired.
- Once you start working, you will receive job coaching as needed to help you with any unforeseen problems and to help you become as successful as possible.
- Career Counseling is available for career advancement and continuing education.
