Playgroup (Springfield/Decatur)

Playgroups provide children with the opportunity to play and learn, follow routines and instructions, meet other children, increase social skills, communication skills, and children also learn to respond to other adults. In addition, playgroups also provide parents and guardians an opportunity to meet new people, exchange ideas or information, and possibly create a support network otherwise unknown to them.

The UCP Playgroup meets once every other month, with activities designed for the small learner. Playgroup is offered to families of children with disabilities ages 0 to 6 years. This Playgroup is free to attendees and will include crafts, games, snack, stories and much, much more. The activities will be adapted to fit the needs of children with disabilities.
