Development Training Program (Springfield)
The UCP Developmental Training Program offers individuals the opportunity to learn new skills and be exposed to new experiences. Training is provided in daily, living and pre-employment skills. Individuals also enjoy social and recreational activities in the community.
- A State-of-the-art computer lab is available with a variety of assistive technology that assists individuals with physical disabilities access computers.
- Individuals may use the computers to learn reading, math, money management, and Internet access.
- Individuals have an opportunity to learn work skills and earn a paycheck.
- The community-based training curriculum focuses on practical skills needed to live and work in the community.
- Individuals participate in volunteer activities throughout the year, including baking gingerbread houses for the Festival of Trees.
