Medical Services (Clinic Services)
A variety of monthly Clinic Services are held to address the on-going medical needs of children with cerebral palsy and other disabilities. Our physicians may prescribe specialized equipment, braces and other devices to maximize independence and growth. These clinic services are provided for individuals from birth through age 21.
J. Monroe Laborde Spasticity Clinic:
The Spasticity Clinic provides a team approach to determine the medical management of spasticity, a tightening of muscles. The team consists of an pediatric orthopedic surgeon, a pediatric neurologist, and a physical and occupational therapist.
Wheelchair Seating Clinic:
Team of professionals, including an orthopedic surgeon, a physical therapist and a rehabilitation specialist evaluates, measures and fits individuals for wheelchairs. This specialized clinic ensures that people receive appropriate seating systems designed to meet their individual orthopedic needs.
Dental Clinic:
Our dentists are experienced in treating children with all types of disabilities. UCP makes going to the dentist a positive experience by delivering quality care in a comforting atmosphere.
